This is the message which we have heard from Him, and declared unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all 1 John 1:5

One of the revelations of God in his word is the fact that “God is Light” He is the light of the World for ‘in Him was Life, and the Life was the light of men’ (John 1:4). Jesus said, “I am the Light of the World… (John 3: 19). He indeed is the true source of life to everything on earth.
One thing about light is the fact that it does not coexist with darkness, in whatever form, for “the light shinneth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:5). It is said plainly “God is Light and in Him IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL (1John 1:5). Sin in any form, shape and shade represents darkness. The presence of light drives away darkness “For he was manifested to take away our sins, and in him is no Sin” (1 John 3:5), again, “Thou art of PURER EYES THAN TO BEHOLD EVIL, AND CANST NOT LOOK ON INIQUITY (Hab 1:13). God CANNOT live with, play with, accommodate, condone, sanction or tolerate Sin in any form, either in the world or in his Children. The two are mutually exclusive, and are forever diametrically opposed. As children of God, God dwells in Us, for we are his temple (1 Cor 6:19). Our life is now hid in God (Col 3:3) and we are to abide in Christ (John 15:4). In other words, this Holy God, who is Light and in Him is No darkness at all, is supposed to be living in the inside of us, and we dwelling in Him.
Beloveth, there is a great aberration today in the household of God. Some church goers, including ministers and pastors, live in sin, either secretly or openly, claiming it doesn’t matter, that grace has covered their sins and God no longer inputs sin to them. Some claimed that they have eternal security in Christ, and as long as they have not denied Christ, they will make it to heaven irrespective of how they live their lives here on earth. This makes me to tremble! How can people still live in and enjoy sin and claim they know God, that God is dwelling in them, or are working for or serving him? It is NOT Possible.
It is like ‘Mr Darkness’ telling you he visited the sun and spent a whole weekend with Him. It can NEVER happen in this world or in the world to come, as darkness cannot coexist with light! Note the clear statement of the scripture “If we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we LIE, and do not the truth (1 John 1:6). Also, “whosoever abideth in him SINNETH NOT, whosoever sinneth hath NOT SEEN HIM, NEITHER KNOW HIM” (1John 3:6)
Are we serving a different God? has He changed? Or has He changed and altered his principles to accommodate the failings of this present age? Is He still the same God that threw Lucifer and the other angels out of heaven when iniquity was found in them; the God that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah on account of sin; the same God that destroyed the Israelites in the wilderness after delivering them from the bondage in Egypt, gave them communion and provided and preserved them in the desert??? (1 Cor 10:1-6) Maybe we have two types of heaven, one for the one that the apostles of old, our fathers of faith, Joseph and all the others that stood their ground and suffered in the face of temptation strived to enter, while there is a second one for the people of this generation. Or else, will Joseph be in the same heaven with the young men of this age? will Paul who put his body under subjection so that he will not be a castaway sit on the same throne with some of the apostles and preachers of this generation? The answer is a BIG NO. God has not changed, or else he will need to apologized for being strict with the old generation.
Little children, let no one deceive you; he that doeth righteousness is righteous while he that committeth sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. (1John 3:7,8). What shall we say then? shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God Forbid, how shall we that are dead to sin live in it any longer (Rom 6:1-2) For the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are his, and let him that nameth the name of the Lord departs from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19). Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthian 6:9)

Beloved, God still loves you and does not desire that you perish with the world. Don’t wait until it is too late in eternity before you realized that you are on the wrong side. Examine yourself today to return to the part of righteousness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all our unrighteousness” (1John 1:9). The blood is available and ready to cleanse you only if you will allow him, and God will give you the grace to live a victorious Christian life and live above sin. “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his Glory with exceeding joy… (Jude 24).
You can connect to this grace today by praying this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I believe you came and died for my sins. Today, I ask for your mercies. I have lived my life the way I wanted, but today I surrender my life to you. Please forgive me all my sins, wash me by your blood, and be my Lord and Saviour. Give me the grace to live a victorious life above sin and to follow you all the days of my life. Please restore me back to you today. Thank you for saving me. Amen!”
If you pray this prayer and you meant it, then you are now a child of God and God has restored you back to him (John 1: 12). You need to read your Bible daily, and also take time to pray to God and avoid every form of sin. Locate a Bible believing church around you to attend regularly. God Bless you
